Overview
These courses provide a foundational overview of TECH Clean California, information about the incentive submittal process, and participation in TECH Clean California partner programs including California Energy Commission’s HEEHRA rebates and Central Coast Community Energy’s “Electrify Your Home”. Contractors that complete all available trainings can help customers stack rebates, which helps more customers afford their electrification projects.
Complete the minimum required courses for the program enrollment you are pursuing. The target audience and description for each course is listed below.
Required for ALL TECH Clean California-enrolled contractors:
TECH Clean California & Iris - The first half of this course provides a general overview of the TECH Clean California initiative. The second half provides a walk through on how to navigate the application portal, Iris.
Required for TECH Clean California Contractors installing heat pump HVACs:
TECH Clean California - Single Family Heat Pump HVAC - This course provides an overview of the requirements for the TECH Clean California single family heat pump HVAC incentives. Furthermore, it includes information about the PNNL Quality Installation tool that must be used to collect nameplate photos when HERS testing is not required.
Required for TECH Clean California contractors who wish to become HEEHRA-qualified and will apply for single family heat pump HVAC rebates:
HEEHRA Rebates - Single Family Heat Pump HVAC - This course includes three required videos including: an overview of the requirements for the CEC HEEHRA single family HVAC rebates; in-depth details on the combustion appliance zone and safety testing and home assessment requirements; and instructions for using the income verification portal. Coming Soon: This course also includes one optional, but recommended, video on cybersecurity for contractors that plan to submit income verification applications on their customers’ behalf.
Required for TECH Clean California contractors who wish to become HEEHRA-qualified and will install multifamily HEEHRA rebates: Coming soon!
